2006 HRINZ HR Person of the Year, National Winner:

Teva Loos

Teva discovered a passion for HR during his work as a CFO. He appreciated the opportunity to move into HR with the organisation he was working with at the time. Now in Fruccor, he has found the organisation that matches his own values. In fact he was instrumental in articulating the values at Fruccor and has been developing strategy and policy to make them live. Working with a team of HR professionals in New Zealand and Australia he is responsible for developing strategy that aligns with parent company direction, but takes into account the local cultural and environmental context. An important part of this is the expectation of significant face to face time with line managers, which has been endorsed by feedback throughout the organisation. Teva uses his financial experience to drive HR metrics within his company and the measures shows improving results. His CEO believe he has been instrumental in raising the profile of HR and the contribution that HR makes to business performance in the company.
