2006 HRINZ Young HR Practitioner of the Year, National Winner:
Connie Nicholson
Connie presented as an outstanding young HR practitioner. She is professional, competent, articulate, and passionate about effective HR. Having being a line manager herself she understands the impact of HR from an organisational operational perspective. In a very senior role for her age, she has been instrumental in change of HR delivery at Christchurch City Council. She has a thorough approach and leadership credibility no doubt enhanced by the relationship building she values so highly. There has been good results from the work she has done from the measures presented to the judging panel. They also noted she adapts to different working environments and demonstrated self awareness - she knows the areas she needs to develop her expertise in. The national judging panel are pleased to award this inauguaral award to such a deserving candidate.
